I journeyed to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, where I paid a guide to access the prayer hall and the chambers of the Panchen Lama. Inside, rows of prayer benches and chairs lined the room, leading to a towering platform adorned with shimmering gold fabrics intricately embroidered with rich red threads. Bookshelves brimming with ancient manuscripts bordered the walls. Scattered on the floor were the toys of the child Panchen Lama, giving the impression of a hasty departure by its youngest inhabitant.
I was enveloped by a profound tranquility I hadn’t imagined before — a deep connection to the infinite — knowing, without knowing, the source of all because I was all.
